I had never been to nor heard of Vogel State Park before I was contacted by Danielle & Travis. But, after hearing that Travis chose this location for his and Danielle’s engagement session because it was a special place to him, I couldn’t pass it up. After learning more about Travis & Danielle and doing some nifty internet research on Vogel State Park, I was even more excited to travel from Knoxville to Georgia to meet them and capture their love in such a special and dear place.
Vogel State Park is about a 2 hour drive from Knoxville, and is located at the base of Blood Mountain in the Chattahoochee National Forest. The drive down was breathtaking, to say the least. It is one of Georgia’s oldest and most beloved state parks, boasting acres and acres of rolling forest, beautiful lakes and campsites, cabins and even a mountain beach area! So an October engagement session in one of the most gorgeous parks I have seen, with leaves changing all around us?! Yes, please!
From the moment I met Danielle and Travis, I knew that they were absolutely perfect for one another. Besides being obvious through the lens as we navigated through their engagement session, I could see that they shared such chemistry between them that it would have been impossible for everyone they encountered not to see it. You could see in every look and embrace the love that they have for one another, and it was so wonderful to witness two people so in love.
Vogel State Park’s gorgeous fall decor provided the perfect setting for their Engagement Photos, and the fact that this location held a special place in their hearts, made it even more moving.
I am sooo looking forward to their wedding at The Walters Barn in Lula, Georgia in March! I hope you love their images as much as I loved capturing them. Enjoy!
